Kit Fitting & Team Ride on Saturday, Oct. 24

The team kit fitting is this Saturday, October 24th and will be held at Gerling Applied Engineering (1064 Woodland Ave in Modesto), the same location as previous years.  The sponsorship for next year is wrapped up and the 2016 CdV Kit Design is complete. JL Velo will be our clothing supplier again and they are busy developing the team store and details about order will be sent to members once it’s complete.  JL Velo Reps will be bringing all of the clothing on Saturday and will be at the kit fitting to answer any questions you may have and will also be joining us on the team ride after the fitting.  This will be the  only chance this year to try on the sample clothing and to see the new fabrics and clothing items that JL Velo will be offering. If you can’t make the fitting, you can reference the sizing charts on the JL Velo website. or ask a team mate with the current kit to try on their clothing. The sizing should be the same as last year’s clothing.

James Ruffin on the Podium!

James Ruffin RK Podium 8.9.15We had back to back days of racing this past weekend, with the TEA Solar Classic Criterium in Turlock on Saturday and the Red Kite Crit in Livermore on Sunday. There were quite a few FSB team members out racing and we had some strong finishes. Congrats to James Ruffin who made the Red Kite podium, placing 4th in the E4 field with an impressive sprint finish! Kudos to everyone from the team who was out there racing this weekend, great job by all.

A huge thank you to everyone who made it out to the Modesto Downtown Criterium and the Modesto Road Race. It’s always a win supporting local races and events right in our own backyard!  We had a fantastic turn out at both events with some great racing and results.  It was fun to see so many FSB kits out there and race promoter, Rick Ciccarelli, was quite appreciative of the turnout and support from the team.  We scored several primes and podium spots highlighted by 2nd places by both Rich Del Valle (35+ 1/2/3) and Pete Schoenenberger (45+ 4/5) and 3rd place by Allen Shaw (55+ 4/5) in the criterium on Saturday.  Thanks again to all of you who came out to watch, support and represent FSB.
